MORE ABOUT ALAN MATHISON TURING:
Alan Mathison Turing was an extremely intelligent individual and, although he lived a mere 41 years, his life has had a positive impact on world history. Turing was a British mathematician, logician and computer analyst. With his extreme intelligence he helped enable the decoding of extremely complicated and confusing German ciphers and create new machinery to decode highly important German messages during the World War II. There is no doubt that his intelligence helped our allies with the War and helped to create the freedoms we enjoy today. Regretfully, Alan Mathison Turing committed suicide on the 7th June 1954. It is believed he was unable to cope with his sexuality and that being a homosexual led him to take his own life.
