Mysterium Magnum is Latin for "great mystery" and has many associations and usages. Paracelcus and other alchemists employed the term "Mysterium Magnum" to denote primordial undifferentiated matter, from which all the classical elements sprang. The term has been used in Christian theology as a euphemism for "sacrament." Many are familiar with musical settings originating as Gregorian Chant under the title "O Magnum Mysterium." I have here approached the term in the context of the alchemists.
Mysterium Magnum: Singing Mask DreamSong Meditations represents a culmination of the work that I have been doing with Singing Masks for the past 35 years. It is intended not so much as documentation as the realization of a Singing Mask Ceremony in video format. View and listen in meditation as if to a mandala waterfall.
