A projection piece being displayed on the East wall of the Target carpark in Rundle St, Adelaide.
A combination of realistic 3d and stylised 2d animation to give the impression that the projector can manipulate the wall itself and bring creative life to it, as well as revealing like an x-ray, a carousel of different spaces behind.
I wanted to play with the notion of a projection with-in a projection, hence the spot-lights and the patterns they create. Also the idea of a complex and busy city behind an otherwise blank wall.
The ACC's vibrant city public art program is a great push for ephemeral art to enliven otherwise blank, ignored and dis-used spaces.
