I am very fortunate and privileged to be able to film some extraordinary creatures for, and on behalf of, Howletts and Port Lympne Wild Animal Parks in Kent in the South of England, for their promotions, websites, social networking sites and their Television commercials.
A registered charity, the parks were founded by the late John Aspinall with the aim to protect and breed rare and endangered animals and release them to protected areas in the wild when it is safe and possible to do so.
Here, at Port Lympne, it is home to the largest group of captive bred Western Lowland Gorillas in the world. The mixed group are housed in the impressive Palace of the Apes, whilst the males are kept in the bachelor enclosure, where all of this footage was shot.
These are truly incredible animals which, thanks to the programmes at Howletts and Port Lympne, aim to to protect and breed rare and endangered animals and release them to protected areas in the wild when it is safe and possible to do so.
If you are ever in this part of the world, and care about animals, then there is no finer animal park to visit.
Stills photography by my wife Denise, who forms the other half of our Production Company.
