From the halcyon days of MiniDV short film production, and the vaults of my old filmography, comes one of the most steadfastly and solidly constructed short films I've ever had the pleasure of being involved with.
Based on an idea by Caleb McKenney (also writer and director), we shot this short film in a single day back in 2009. What strikes me now, looking back on it, is how tight the story is structurally; beats like the major reversal and the ordeal/reward are clearly and concisely handled, before we as filmmakers were even aware of their existence or necessity.
I would love for this film to find a life of its own online, because I'm very proud of it (terrible lighting and all).
