í norður - Iceland in March

Janis Brod

A short summary of our two weeks trip to Iceland in March 2014. What a beautiful place! We got to see spectacular landscapes, wonderful waterfalls, lots of snow (we even got stuck in the snow for three days), strong wind, black beaches, hot springs and in our very last night there we were lucky enough to see a sky full of northern lights. That was just inexpressibly magic and beautiful. I've never seen anything comparable.

During our last days, spring was approaching, which made it even harder to leave again. But this wasn't my last time to visit Iceland, that's for sure.

This video was filmed on a Nikon D800 with the following lenses:

Nikkor 50mm 1.8, Nikkor 28mm 2.8, Nikkor 80-200mm 2.8, Nikkor 85mm 1.8D, Micro Nikkor 105mm 2.8 AI/S, Sigma 20mm 1.8 EX DG.

Next time I'll bring a more sturdy tripod. A part of the footage from the first week got so shaky due to the strong wind that no software stabilizer could save it.
