A short film giving a voice to inhabitants of informal settlements around Pietermartizburg in South Africa.

Political and economic pressures have forced many families to set up home of the floodplains of the Msunduzi River and its tributaries in Kwazulu-Natal province. Many living in squalid conditions on the banks of the river, with little or no sanitation and running water, people are vulnerable to diseases and their houses being swept away. More rainfall is predicted for this region in the future.
Following two devastating floods in this floodplain in the last 20 years, the potential for flooding sits in the back of everyone's mind. Residents share their experience in this film.
