Prairie du Chien, WI - April 14, 2014 - at approx. 7 p.m. last night, a fire broke out in Slumberland Furniture store in Blackhawk Junction Shopping Center. At first heavy smoke was seen before flames spread engulfing the entire building. Fire Departments from surrounding areas came to aid the Prairie du Chien Fire Department. The goal was to keep the fire from adjacent stores. It appears the Slumberland store, one of the largest stores in the mall, was a total loss. For updates see mwnews.net
