My impressionist and abstract paintings are usually large and full of texture. Sometimes they are motivated by a quirky composition (signs or poles taking their stand in bucolic or city settings). Other times, a rich combination of satisfying colors will catch my eye, and I’m compelled to paint those colors on canvas via a subject that is familiar to me, such as a country road, river, or one of my signature birch forests. Always, it’s about that passion to create!
