Bradford Hostage Situation Rescue Bodycam Footage

Sgt. Stewart Griffin

"Shots fired, Shots fired! 10-99!" This was all it took for Florida State Police to respond to a hostage situation in Hillsborough County.

What started as a welfare check on an elderly korean war veteran named James MacIntyre, ended in a hostage situation, 2 deaths and 50 shots fired. There were 4 suspects, all of which were shot and 3 were killed, with the last one in the ICU.

Due to the situation, all suspects were classed as shoot on sight and the FSP SWAT team did just that, ending the lives of 21 year old Jordan Jamesson, 33 year old John Miller and 35 year old Michael Wolfe and nearly ending the life of Cavan McDaniel, 35.

No officers or civilians were injured in the raid itself but 2 officers were shot at during the welfare check that started the whole thing, ending the life of 40 year old Sam Jackson who was in his last shift before retiring.

Sergeant Timothy "Tim" Bradford was in charge of the raid and is the person who's bodycam footage you are watching.

The hostage was secured with no injuries found on him, but he was pretty shaken.

- Before I knew it, this SWAT officer just shot 2 of my buddies right in the head, alot, and then he literally walked through a window and shot me! Said McDaniel, who was one of the suspects and the only surviving suspect in the raid.

- I did what I had to do to save that man's life. Those suspects could have shot him if I didn't shoot them first. Said Sgt Bradford.
