An American man has come up with a unique innovation by transforming an old bike into a personal elevator. 22-year-old Ethan Schlussler from the state of Idaho realized that it would be tiresome to climb a 9-meter ladder every time he wanted to reach his recently-built tree-house. So he decided to convert this old bicycle into an elevator. The bike is anchored on the ground with a chain and slowly rises to the tree-house entrance by pedaling. Getting back down is the easy part. He just lets the pedals spin freely and uses the bike brakes and the counterweight to control speed. It took Ethan just a week to build this novelty. It really is a clever idea.
