#BwayLovesOA: The stars of Broadway welcome Opening Act back to Broadway for its 8th Annual Benefit Play Reading of DANCE OF THE HOLY GHOSTS: A PLAY ON MEMORY! and you're invited on MAY 12th, 2014!

And it is a true celebration of our Opening Act family. Written by award-winning playwright and former Opening Act Teaching Artist, MARCUS GARDLEY, the play follows the story of Oscar Clifton, a Blues man stuck living through his memories of the past until his estranged grandson pays a visit. This poetic family drama chronicles their saga through love, regret, and missed opportunities.

We're thrilled to announce that current Opening Act student, BRITTANY ADEBUMOLA, will be starring alongside Tony Award-winning actors COURTNEY B. VANCE (Nora Ephron's Lucky Guy, Law and Order: Criminal Intent) and LILLIAS WHITE (The Life, Fela!, Dreamgirls) -- a first for this Broadway event! The play also stars DOUG ESKEW (The Color Purple, Five Guys Named Moe) and former Opening Act Teaching Artist, KOBI LIBII (Amazon's Alpha House, Atlantic Theater Company's CQ/CX) and will be directed by KWAME KWEI-ARMAH (Artistic Director of Baltimore Center Stage).
