"ONE OF THE BEST SHORT FILMS THIS YEAR"
Michael Pattison - Filmmaker Magazine
"NO PLACE LIKE DOME, A ****/5 HIGHLIGHT".
District of Enskede-Årsta-Vantör, south of Stockholm. The city breathes in and out while a colossal, ubiquitous, enigmatic monolith watches day and night all the life around it.
Swedish premiere: Stockholm Film Festival
Spanish premiere: Seville European Film Festival
Synopsis at SEFF: The landscape of Stockholm, seen from every angle, gradually mutates in front of our eyes around an unmoving anchor-point, the moon on earth that is the Ericsson Globe.
Synopsis at SFF: Based on an – in the film unheard – poem by Xosé María Díaz Castro, the film consists of seven images depicting the area around Globen, the gigantic spherical arena in Stockholm. The images slowly fade into each other, enhancing the architecture of the landscape and adding a calm rhythm to the film. By way of duration and framing, director Eloy Domínguez Serén invites us to carefully observe objects and landscapes that would perhaps otherwise be left unnoticed.
