Integrating Behavioral Health and Primary Care Services is a current focus of many systems of care. In many instances however, the integration efforts are viewed as separate from current ROSC efforts that may also be underway. This month's session will highlight the perspectives of both a system administrator and a treatment provider who are working at integrating substance use disorders services with physical health services, but in a recovery oriented manner. Les Sperling, who is the Chief Executive Officer of the Central Kansas Foundation, will discuss the efforts of his organization to promote integration. His organization was selected as a participant in the National Council's substance use disorder learning community. His perspective on the integration process, and their lessons learned, can help system administrators think about how to support their treatment providers and other stakeholders in moving in this direction. Roland Lamb, who is the Director of the Office of Addiction Services for the Philadelphia Department of Behavioral Health, will share some of the strategies and that are underway in Philadelphia to encourage more integrated services between primary care, substance use disorder treatment and recovery support services. Please plan to join us on Tuesday April 15th at 3:00 p.m. Eastern.
