I’m sure I share the views of many who now have access to the wonderful world of video, at what an steep learning curve faces us newbies. However I trudge slowly upward drawn by an exciting, powerful creative medium. Recently I flipped the switch on my Canon 5D mark III into video mode which opened the door just wide enough to allow a torrent of creative possibilities to come flooding in. I must admit for a long time I’d shied away from video thinking that it is too demanding and expensive to play with. Photography is challenging enough without the added dimension of motion and sound. But once the tenacious tentacles of video grab hold I find you cannot help but succumb to the creative possibilities that entice one’s curiosity. Now that I’ve flipped the switch There's no turning back. There is just sooooooo much to lean. Thank you for your viewing patience and I invite instruction and suggestions on how I can improve my takes with the aim of eventually discarding my L-plates.
