Plantin Moretus, printing museum in Antwerp
Develop a digital interface to experience hundred years old books in an authentic manner.
Three touchscreens in the display tables enable visitors of the museum to browse through centuries-old books and explore additional backround information regarding the publications.
The interface was designed to ensure the user experience to be as realistic as possible.
The 3D-movement of pages and it's high-resolution content make sure the visitors can take a close look at the detailed etchings.
Red and blue bookmarks indicate more information or images. When clicked on the book slides to the side and reveals facts about anatomy or printing techniques.
Plantin-Moretus is a museum honoring the famous printers Christophe Plantin and Jan Moretus in their former 17th century home in the city centre of Antwerp.
