Apple WWDC 2023 Transitions

Post Bail collaborated with the creatives at Ntropic and Apple to produce seamless transitions to various filmed locations at Apple Park, to aid in a colorful and fun presentation for Apple WWDC 2023.

Each location plate was tracked, then stitched with an additional middleman camera to hand off between the locations. Geometry was tracked into place on the footage. The color effects were actually light reflections captured on the geometry. This posed some technical challenges. As animators, we're used to animating the geometry and lights, but it's not typically to animate these things to capture reflections as the hero element of a shot. The geometry also needed the right amount of beveling and smoothing and the lights had to be the right orientation, to produce the look you see here.
