Filmed entirely in Nashville Tennessee, Juxtaposition shields its eyes from the glamorized region of the Metro and drops to the surface exploring the "questionable characters" of the city. The short captures the imagery in a near voyeuristic manner forcing the viewer to watch as if a passerby or objective observer. Set to Franz Schubert's Ave Maria, a piece considered now as High Art-High Culture, Juxtaposition plays heavily on the literal definition of the word. Not only from shot to shot, but the entire piece as a whole is a playing contradiction. This is not a film. It is meant to be talked over, talked about, and re-watched.
