Together with my colleagues at NUDI (Network of Underwater Digital Imagers), Boogs Rosales, Wowie Wong, and Jan Acosta, I'm proud to have contributed footage to this film. This documentary was directed by Cannes Film Festival Best Director winner, Brillante Mendoza, and conceptualized and narrated by Senator Loren Legarda. It highlights the wonders - and warnings - that emanate from the marine flora and fauna of our country. It stresses the importance of protecting our underwater world, especially, the waters from Verde Island through to Anilao - the area that scientists are calling "the center of the center of Marine biodiversity."
This film was produced by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and the Philippine Information Agency (PIA). It was edited by Maxine S. Torre and post-production was handled by Center Stage Productions. Research was conducted by the office of Senator Loren Legarda. Additional footage was provided by Greenpeace.
A HUGE thank you to everyone who made this important and inspiring project possible!
