Niobrara Valley is a 57,000 acre preserve located in The Sandhills of Nebraska. I went with the intension to capture the story of Bison and how they benefit the grasslands. After arriving in late October I was overwhelmed at the diverse ecology and wetlands and decided to do a more comprehensive study. I always come prepared including cameras, G&E, Red Wing Boots, 3500 4X4 truck, "Sandhills" jack, and plenty of food from Frank Stoysich. Weather came in so I built fires and thought about where I needed to be after the storm subsided. The footage fell on the editing room floor until a need was requested recently, when I was asked to shoot an interview with Mace Hack for National Nature Conservancy to cut a spot about the Preserve. I'm honored to be an official content producer for the organization and encourage you to join The Nature Conservancy. nature.org/ourinitiatives/regions/northamerica/unitedstates/nebraska/
