Earth Day Marin - Session 3

Enjoy this third video of stage presentations at Earth Day Marin, our popular environmental festival at the Mill Valley Community Center on April 23, 2023.

This session took place from 3pm to 4pm, and featured these presenters:

• Freedom Singers - Sing for climate with this activist group

• Stephanie Moulton-Peters, County of Marin Supervisor

• Nicole Gardner, Community Leader, Marin's Race Equity Planning Committee

• Andre Thierry, Zydeco accordion soul music

Our free community event inspired 1,500 participants of all ages and backgrounds to help build a more just and sustainable world. They were invited to take climate action through fun activities, green exhibits, art, music, games, evs and e-bikes, a youth zone … and free ice cream!

Our Earth Day Marin stage hosted dozens of stage presenters, who shared their visions for a more just and sustainable world. They included popular artists, musicians, speakers and community leaders from across Marin and the Bay Area.

Tip of the hat to all our presenters for their wonderful speeches and music performances! By watching this Earth Day Marin video, you will learn about creative actions we can take to imagine a better world and protect life on earth.

Earth Day Marin was organized by Green Change with Mill Valley Recreation and major support from Bay Area Air Quality Management District, City of Mill Valley, County of Marin, Marin Community Foundation, MCE Clean Energy, Outdoor Art Club, Rex Foundation, Sustainable Marin – with many more partners from across Marin and the Bay Area. Thanks to everyone who made our 2023 event so successful, including all our wonderful volunteers, artists, musicians, speakers and team members!

Together, we helped visitors learn about climate actions such as: using clean energy, eating sustainable food, riding electric vehicles, electrifying your home, living lightly and building healthy communities. Two thirds of participants we surveyed plan to take at least one of those climate actions this year. And most will be joining us again on Earth Day next yea
