Why would you choose one backend language over another? First, there is no “perfect” programming language, although some in the tech community may beg to differ. Second, a developer may choose his/her backend language for a number of reasons including; what server platform you use, your budget concerns, previous experience in programming, problem domain modeling, framework support, library support, security considerations, and database integration...just to name a few.
