Changing Sports, Changing Lives tells the stories of people who have disabilities or impairments but who focus on their abilities. They identify themselves as athletes, and their determination has opened up opportunities they never dreamed possible.
This film is the second in an annual series of documentaries based upon the research done by Syracuse University students and faculty. Students in the Syracuse University Department of Sport Management’s Sport in American Society class studied the history, development and impact of adaptive sports. Their research has provided the foundation for this documentary which demonstrates the power of adaptive sports to transform and enrich the lives of persons with disabilities.
