Architects and architecture enthusiasts joined us for the fith lecture in the 2014 UQ Architecture lecture series, presented by the University of Queensland School of Architecture and the Asia Pacific Design Library.
Debbie Ryan from McBride Charles Ryan presented as part of the series on Tuesday April 29.
Debbie Ryan is a founding principal of Melbourne based architects McBride Charles Ryan and has managed the practice with Robert McBride for the past 25 years. During this lecture Debbie shared an approach that is both scientific and intuitive and elaborated on her experience in commercial, institutional and domestic design.

Debbie is a recognised public speaker, design critic and a continuing contributor to the construction industry. The work of McBride Charles Ryan has been awarded numerous prizes that include 2013 IDEA Awards (Overall and Public Space Winner), Architizer A+ Award 2013, The Chicago Athenaeum International Architecture Award (2010, 2011), World Architecture Awards 2009 (Winner – Best House), World Architecture Awards 2010 (Winner – Education) along with multiple awards from the Australian Institute of Architects at both state and National levels.
