In the aim to shoot my next movie on film I can not take anything to chance, especially since the style I'm going for requires the look of 16mm color reversal film. The extremely small latitude almost makes it questionable as to why I'd even bother to shoot on film when digital itself is better in image clarity, has slightly more latitude, and is ridiculously cheeper. But 16mm color reversal is a look that can never be achieved in digital. And it's a stylistic choice I'm determined to shoot my film on. This video is just a test I filmed practicing with metering for this extremely small latitude film. And gives me an idea of how it will look in an HD transfer.
