A very brief compilation we were possibly going to show at the awards ceremony last night. I think it's worth posting, if only for myself, as a way of saying "alright, here's what you've done in the past... now where are you going?"
I am aware that I need to pick up my production output this summer. And this fall I am planning to acquire a much better camera and tripod, to assist not only with my personal work but my academic schedule as well (three classes + all heavy on projects = one very busy autumn).
It's still sort of incredible to me that I am on this particular path, but I am so glad I changed directions when I did. Video and motion media, and the other interdisciplinary aspects of New Media, are really coming into their own with the proliferation of new technologies, where humans and devices are in nearly constant contact. I'll never stop advocating turning things off and spending some time in the woods--but when we *are* engaged with technology, we should be able to find some wonder and beauty in it, and keep pushing the boundaries of expression.
So, here are just a few of the highlights of three years of hard work and experimentation, condensed into 59 seconds.
