This is a news and branding redesign package I created for Kent State’s student-run TV station, TV2. This is the final product of a 10-month redesign process and several more months of fine-tuning and additions. The goal of this project was to establish a master TV2 brand that was memorable for both the eye and the ear. Another goal of the rebrand was to create a sense of trust for student television. This was done through the use of clean graphics, powerful music and a mature voice.
Graphics began as mockups in Photoshop and then brought to life using Cinema 4D and After Effects. The overall look evolved through revisions made based on input from news and station staff.
Animations were built for air in Chyron Lyric. Most graphics are macro-driven to allow each graphic to “think for itself,” such as the seven day forecast.
