I adapted this short from the very famous poem, Casey at the Bat a few years ago back in L.A. We shot this on a Panavision PSR, a freaking boat of an old camera, on 35mm film. Unfortunately the original film neg was lost in my move from California, but I still have the DigiBeta telecine that someday I'll re-edit from. until then here's what we ended up with from my DV master with my buddy Don Kidd doing a pretty good temp voice over reading.
My main concept was to think of how creative we were when we were kids, playing entire games by ourselves... even losing to ourselves sometimes just for fun... when a day at the park was bliss. Someday I hope my little girl forgets how to grow up and that I'll forget that I did.
