An adaptation of Samuel Taylor Coleridge's 'The Rime Of The Ancient Mariner' by Lewis Gibson and Sally Siner for the stage. A co-production between The Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester and Tangere Arts. Written for families and children over 9.
We took this epic poem and set it during a Best Man's speech at a wedding reception held in a merchant navy working men's club. The groom (the mariner), interrupts his friend's speech as he has an irrepressible urge to tell his story.
Performed by Gary Ladgen and Darren Lawrence with musician Christopher Preece.
Music and Direction by Lewis Gibson
