Learning to deal with Criticism is a hard skill to acquire. It takes all that we have to give some days to keep persevering, always behind schedule. Knowing full well that what everyone else sees is far short of what they would hope that this opportunity would look like. (Just keep smiling, right? or instead Break Through again more convincingly the next opportunity.) Obviously, I hope that it is in high demand and that will be a big hit. It feels great to enjoy the notion that the Worst of Corporate America is embroiled in a contest it could very easily lose.
What I am presenting for the market is a solution, and it is very effective.
The criticism is about hubris, over reaching or over confidence, not that it's not a good idea or that it's not worth doing. It's a great lesson to learn. People have to either know you or know what you're about in order to recognize that it takes a careful balance of confidence standing upon the shoulders of humility. It's worth doing even when it's hard getting it all done.
Cheers to the Future,
