I attended the NAAS Open Day on Sunday and took a helicopter and a couple of multi's with me.
This is the first FPV video I've done with the QAV400 I've been playing with lately. I've tried to set it up to have the same features as my Discovery Pro. It's equipped with a Naza V2 and I'm using the Tarot Gimbal with the Plumbr Mounting kit to fit it to the front of the craft. The QAV400 itself flies well, it has different tendencies from the Disco Pro in terms of how it responds to yaw, I can't say whether or not I prefer it yet.
This setup is not without its faults though, as you can see from the resulting video, there is quite a bit of horizon drift through turns without applying any tilting motion on the gimbal. There are some moments of jolts and wobbles during quick ascents/descents which I suppose no system is completely immune from. I definitely like the gimbals performance during fast forward flight however, it seems to hold a "rock steady" feel.
When editing this footage together I wanted to give a 2.35:1 screen ratio a go and I played around with some colour correction this time. I don't think it looks too bad, how about you?
