Estratto dalla installazione audiovisiva presentata in occasione del concerto di James Ferraro al Retronouveau a Messina il 3/05/14. Il lavoro si sviluppa nell'area della scala, luogo di transito, che conduce alla sala del concerto, della durata dell'intero evento.
Il sintetizzatore analogico modulare produce e manipola segnali elettrici pensati per essere sia ascoltati che guardati, attraverso l'oscilloscopio (strumento di misura).
Video e audio sono stati registrati dal vivo, senza ulteriori trattamenti.

The work develops in the gateway area of stairs leading to concert hall, producing images and sounds for the entire duration of the event.
Analog modular synth produces and transform electric signals you can equally listen to and watch using oscilloscope (measuring instrument).
Video and audio have been recorded live, with no additional treatment.

This is not a musical track, (and this is not a demo of modules). In this work I'm looking for somehow changing impulsive, little sounds (there are a lot of pauses) interesting to listen to and to watch at the same time.
this is the patch and how it works:
- THE CORE - is chaotic signals produced by WOGGLEBUG. The so called "stepped out" and "woggle cv out" go to 4MS VCA matrix mixer ch 1 and 2, clock out and clock burst out go to ch 1 e 4 trigger in of makenoise MATH (used as AD generator) ch 1 and 4 out go to 4MS in 3 and 4. the 4MS outputs go to a-112 sampler cv in, a-188-1 BBD cv in, a-126 freq.shifter cv in, Plague Bearer "high" cv in.
- AUDIO SIGNAL - PLAGUE BEARER is used as oscillator, "high" parameter set to 0 and the chaotic cv "tunes" it randomly. the output of PB (left output) go to a-125 phase shifter (right output). they are main outputs of the patch, they produce lissajous curves.
PB audio out go to a multiple then to a-188 BBD delay, a-112 sampler (in rev. delay mode), a-126 frequency shifter. I performed live modifications of levels in 4MS matrix mixer, the balance of audio delays and freq shift and settings of various parameter (BBD feedback, phaser shift and resonance ecc.)
BBD out is filtered using a-121 in lowpass mode to suppress audible clock frequency of the module.
- MASTER CLOCK - livewire DALEK modulator ringmod out (MATH ch2 out go to cv in of both vco in slow speed) is the clock of the entire patch, going to clock in of WB.
189-1 and 148 are not used
