The Center for Global Development hosted Lawrence Summers, Charles W. Eliot University Professor and President Emeritus of Harvard University, for a lecture on "US Leadership and the International Financial Institutions" on April 25, 2014. A longtime board member of the Center, Summers was elected to succeed founding CGD Board Chair Edward Scott Jr, effective May 1, 2014.
