On this third Sunday of Eastertide, Dr. Guy Sayles delivers a sermon titled, "Te Deum: The Magnificence of God." The season of Eastertide is a fifty day celebration of the resurrection of Jesus (sometimes referred to as “The Great Fifty Days”). The color white represents the eternal light of Christ who lives and reigns over the world. Today we celebrate fifty and seventy-five year members. Opal Hartley, Venice Lance, Charlie Price and Charlene Price have been members for 50 years. Dot Hampton has been a member for 75 years. Leaders in worship include India Coleman and Allyson Welmaker acolytes, Patrick Welmaker - Bible bearer, the Jubilee Choir, Adult Handbell Choir, Scripture Reading by Barbara Bruce and Dot Hampton - deacon of the week.
The flowers are given in memory of Rev. Ernest Lewis by Carole Miller.
