The Salvadoran Civil War, was a twelve-year conflict between the U.S.-funded Salvadoran military and the left-wing guerilla that ended in 1992, and still haunts this generation. How do we talk about atrocities of a war, that until, 2009, were not recognized by the Salvadoran government? Victoria Chavez, an NYU graduate student, is using photos to break this silence.
