Officials at the Philadelphia Zoo in the US have come up with a new way to allow cats stretch their legs. They have introduced a new enclosed passageway which allows lions and tigers to roam outside.
Visitors to the zoo can remain at ease as these passageways have been fortified with the best materials available. The protected, open-air path snakes above the felines' habitat to an archway over the zoo's main promenade and ends at a viewing spot along a lake. The concept for the catwalk stems from the increasingly common practice of animal rotation. It lets animals escape isolation as visitors encounter them in unexpected places.
