Ahead of the World Cup 2014, a man in Brazil has developed a skill of carving sculptures of football stars out of watermelon shells.
Thanks to part-time sculptor Rogerio Holanda, the faces of famous football players like Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar have already begun popping up in Brazil ahead of the World Cup. Holanda boasts that it now only takes him fifteen to twenty minutes to do most of his watermelon sculptures. He's also a full-time head chef at a four-star hotel in Sao Paulo. Holanda says he first tried out sculpting images into the shells of watermelons twelve years ago, after noticing a carved watermelon on the cover of a magazine.
