Commercial made at TheMill London.
I was working on the sequence with the trees populating the scenery.
A couple of trees were modelled first. Then they went into a script a friend and I wrote to build a variety of different trees in terms of shape, size, texture, beeing animated at different speed individually, and placed along curves with a random offset in translation and rotation... we made a forest out of 2 trees., in a way.
The machine is modelled, animated and mattepainted here and there. The background is a mattepainting too.
All done in Maya, rendered in Mentalray, pre-composited in Shake, final comp in Flame.
