As some of you may know, I’ve been food blogging for quite some time now (quietcountrylife.com). In that time, I’ve gathered quite the collection of pictures, documenting many of the meals I’ve cooked at home.
A firm believer in the SLOW foods movement, I try to buy as much of my food from local, organic farms as possible. Approximately 95 percent of the ingredients used to make the meals in this montage come from within 100 miles of my home – with some exceptions (dates, chocolate, an imported French cheese). I’ve made the ice cream and butter shown in these pictures.
I shot most of these images with a Canon PowerShot camera. (I’ve been through a few of them throughout the years). I edited the slide show with Windows Movie Maker. Damh the bard wrote and performed the music. I chose this song, Lughnasadh, because it is about the bounty of the harvest. If you like Damh the Bard's music, you can find more of it at paganmusic.co.uk/
