Remarks by Keith Miller, a Professor of Rhetoric and Composition who is the author of Voice of Deliverance: The Language of Martin Luther King, Jr., and Its Sources and Martin Luther King’s Biblical Epic: His Great, Final Speech. For leading scholarly journals and for scholarly collections, he has published essays on Malcolm X, Frederick Douglass, Jackie Robinson, Fannie Lou Hamer, C.L. Franklin, and songs of the civil rights movement. He has given talks at Cambridge University, Columbia University, Stanford University, Penn State University, University of Alabama, San Diego State University, and elsewhere. Among his current book projects is one tentatively titled Rethinking The Civil Rights Movement: Why The National Memory Is Wrong.
