The Pilbara Project is a forum created by FORM for the use of everyone that has an experience or story to tell about Western Australia's Pilbara region. It has been setup to nurture and stimulate the creativity of the people who live in or pass through this vast land.
The Pilbara is the engine room of the Australian economy and is rich in Iron Ore which is exported to the world through the ports of Dampier and Port Hedland. It is also a spectacular part of Australia equal in beauty to The Kimberley.
I was asked to document the ongoing journey of four amazing photographers, Christian Fletcher, Tony Hewitt, Les Walkling, and Peter Eastway, as they travel this remote land capturing it's hidden treasures for all to see.
This project is ongoing and will continue until all of the Pilbara has been captured. To follow our progress visit thepilbaraproject.com but dont just be a passive onlooker. Get out there and experience first hand what is truly an amazing part of the world.
