Frequency Series proudly welcomes back Chicago Q Ensemble with an all-new program drawing upon the classic Jean-Paul Satre drama "No Exit". The show premieres at Constellation (3111 N. Western Ave) on June 1st at 8:30pm.
The dynamic string trio Chicago Q Ensemble continues to explore the intersection of chamber music and theater with their new show, NO EXIT. They will present scenes from Sartre's classic play -- in which the eternal close proximity of three strangers is a kind of hell -- as a dramatic, sometimes comic metaphor for the dark side of musical intimacy. Featuring Mozart's Divertimento in E-flat and Giacinto Scelsi's groundbreaking microtonal String Trio, the performance will explore human closeness in all its terror and transcendence. Directed by Deirdre Harrison.
