Eric Febbo gets the win of the fifth round of Qatar Challenge
Eric Febbo driving has won the fifth round of the Qatar Challenge being his first victory at Losail International Circuit.
Even Febbo had to start from the back of the grid because of a problem in the garage he managed to overtake all the drivers and won the race. ' it was really a great race, I had to start from the back of the grid and worked all my way through from the back and it was my first time I ever had to do that but my lap timing was better than yesterday in the qualifying and I felt very good. The track was amazing with a lot of grip. This is my first time I win in Losail and this is great and very good for the championship' stated Febbo after winning the race.
The second place was for Tim Stevens who was leading the race during the first half of the race but once Febbo overtook him, he stayed in the second position until the checkered flag. 'The race was very good and exciting as five drivers were very close for the first position and it was a very close racing. It was a fantastic race and thanks to QMMF and Toyota for the tyres' Stevens said after the race.
The leader of the championship, David Walker finished in the third place. 'It was a great fun and a good battle with the drivers in the first couple of laps, I really enjoyed it and this position is good for me to stay in front in the championship' Walker said.
