This year's Museum Pieces included original dances that touched on themes of love, spring and exams, among other things, as well as featured a bouncy bee and a beneficent angel. Museum Pieces is an outdoor dance performed every spring on the steps of the Bowdoin College Museum of Art.
Paul Sarvis and Gwyneth Jones, both senior lecturers in dance performance, rather sardonically (given the weather of late) choreographed this year's finale, "Ode to Spring," shown in this video, Museum Pieces, Part Two. Students from four dance classes performed the piece with faculty and staff. Michael Wood, associate director of first-year programs, is the singing ’70s guy and Kim Pacelli, senior associate dean, dances the part of the fairy angel.
