This large museum quality showpiece is made from a full coyote skull and a huge piece of Burlington chert that has been beautifully flintknapped into a very large knife blade. The blade has been hafted to the full coyote lower jaw with 2-part epoxy putty for a complete solid handle, no superglue. The lower jaw section has been meticulously shaped and reassembled to resemble an upper jaw to make a unique handle. This piece is a modern reproduction with a clean look and very solid feel to the handle. The matching skull stand has been carefully detailed to bring out the realness. The knife has been balanced and rests nicely on top of the skull or on its own. This knife has been made to last generations. There is nothing that will rot, dry out, or come unglued. The 3 dimensional look will compliment any room. The skull is securely mounted to a matching base board that has foam padding on the bottom. All teeth are present and perfect in both pieces. This piece is discretely initialed and dated by the artist.
