Graduation film from the UWE Bristol School of Animation, 2014
Facet is a stop-motion animated documentary which explores ideas of home, nationality and immigration. Its contributors come from many different countries and have a variety of life experiences. They give their own personal accounts of travel and migration and how this has affected them as individuals. These opinions are juxtaposed by one another to form a discussion. The films aesthetic works to present each story as part of the visual narrative of the film to convey its core themes. The film poses the central question - What does home mean in an increasingly globalised world?
