Miss-My-Face is the third piece in Urban Armor, a series of speculative wearable electronics which investigate technological and personal boundaries in public space.
Miss-My-Face uses infrared lights, a type of light commonly used in CCTV cameras, to create a ring of light around the wearer's face, obscuring them from the camera's view. These lights are not visible to the naked eye, they can only be seen on CCTV footage. Miss-My-Face can be turned on directly, or it can turn on automatically using a CCTV detector, which you can see in the second half of the video. (Still working out some bugs there). Tutorial coming soon at urbanarmor.org.
