Concept Synopsis: We believe that childhood games held a lot more meaning than we give them credit for and that we can't go back to the way we used to see them because we know too much. Games like "War" helped us process conflict and death, games like "Simon Says" gave us an opportunity to experience leading and following (being an authority figure and accepting that what they do is best); playing with dolls helped many young women explore their identities and sexualities, and "Tag" placed our burdens onto other people just as "Hide and Seek" taught us a little bit about attempting to survive. With those ideas in mind, we created a small homage to the realities behind the games that we can never truly return to and have the same experiences.
As the song is dubbed "Corrupted" we thought it would be fitting to add the glitch effects seen in the video. A mix of a color corrector used incorrectly and an overlayed video layer at about 5 to 8 percent. The video layer overlayed is the same video but glitched though a hex editor.
