Personal interpretation of how I perceive time through and in memory. Time is relative to the observer. Time is perception.
(Stop-motion animation with distorted and pixelated photographs which stand for defined periods of time I categorize my life by. (Approximately 24 photographs per second for 30 minutes). Sound made to maximize the experience of the work.
Installation built with aluminum-panels, plastic and cotton. From a dark room you enter through curtains into a small aluminum corridor and further through a miniature doorway. Enter a 3 x 3 m2 aluminum room, furry upper-walls and plastic ceiling. On floor in center of room: a big screen filled with water where this video is projected onto, in continuous loop with sound coming from 3 directions. High frequency and base separated. The video lights up the room in different colors, and when the water is disturbed the motion of it is reflected on the ceiling.
Extreme thanks to Þorgils Gíslason, Ívar Freyr Kárason, Óðinn Sigurðsson, Karólína Baldvinsdóttir and Anna Freyja Guðmundsdóttir for all their support, advice and help.
