Enjoy an awesome mid-April ride and be thrilled by the "fresh new life" exploding across the country side. This mid-day ride upstream along the new Neuse River Greenway trail runs upstream from Brownfield Rd (in farm country) to Anderson Point Park parking lot at mile marker 17 (MM 0 is at Falls Lake Dam, park.).
The trail section offers three highway underpasses with official access points, and two more access points. My first ride surprised me with a tunnel at Battle Ridge road, and 20 trail bridges, two of which are very, very, very long.
Anderson Point Park is located South of Raleigh at the mouth of Crabtree Creek... which also offers a thrilling ride on it's long paved greenway trail.
Explore this 6 mile, 27 minute ride much faster by clicking the progress bar at various time points.
Exploit clicking at various times on the progress bar to advance and explore faster. There is a tunnel, 20 trail bridges, and three highway overpasses with trail access. Two of the trail bridges, River Ridge and Walnut Creek... take almost a full minute to pedal across. The farm fields are local government property utilized by NC State University for their Agriculture programs and research. Many fields are watered by waste water treatment discharge (sprinklers).
